Overview
MRCOOL Signature Series electric heat kits provide auxiliary and emergency heat for R-454B Stud-Mount air handlers. Available in 5 kW, 7.5 kW, and 10 kW sizes, each kit ships with an integrated circuit breaker that functions as a local service disconnect and helps protect internal components.

- Integrated 60A breaker acts as a local service disconnect and helps protect internal components.
- Correctly size branch overcurrent protection per nameplate (breaker does not replace OCPD).
Installation & Wiring
- Remove blower access panel and block-off plate; prep breaker knockout.
- Slide heater assembly into blower section and secure; mount bracket to cabinet rail.
- Place breaker(s) on bracket and secure; route wiring away from sharp edges.
- Connect accessory harness to the air handler control board (W1/W2/C) per wiring diagram.
- Power up, call for heat at the thermostat, verify operation, and reinstall panels.
